Real Estate

What if you didn’t have to pay taxes on your real estate investments? What if instead of paying taxes, you got to keep the income and reinvest it.

Few people understand that they have the opportunity to self-direct their IRAs and other retirement plans into real estate – and that they can benefit from the enormous tax advantages that these plans provide.

Historically, real estate has been a stable investment that consistently appreciates in value. Many successful Americans have used real estate to grow wealth – wealth that withstood the test of time and rocky financial markets.

Real estate could be considered the bedrock of alternative asset investing. You can see it, touch it even stand on it. It’s tangible, real and as we all know each piece is unique.

Why hasn’t anyone told me about this before?”

This is because many people, including accountants, attorneys, financial planners and other financial services professionals do not know that you can use your retirement account funds to invest in real estate. Many are set in the ways of traditional retirement investing such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds and are hesitant to break out of those niches.

What types of real estate can I put in my retirement account?

  • Residential Property (Both single and multi-family, rentals and fix-and-flips)
  • Commercial Property
  • Agricultural Land
  • Raw Land (To hold or develop)

You can even invest in real estate options contracts, do short sales and 1031 exchanges. In fact, you can do almost any investment inside your retirement account that you can do with nonretirement account funds. Just one word of caution, if your IRA owns it, don’t live in it. That is considered a prohibited transaction. If you have any questions as to if an investment would be considered prohibited, give us a call at 888-753-6972 and we will discuss the investment with you.

How do I get started?

First you will need a self-directed retirement account, like those offered here at The Kingdom Trust Company. You can complete one of the forms below (depending on the type of retirement account you are interested in) or you can call us at 888-753-6972 and let us fill out the form for you.
